Each year, we observe a multitude of meteor showers, totaling over 20,000 meteors. Among these, the Perseid meteor shower is likely the most observed, largely due to the pleasant temperatures in August that encourage people to venture outdoors and enjoy this spectacular natural display.
Second year in a row UKMON was fortunate to observe Perseid meteor shower and bring it to our screens worldwide but unfortunately most of our cameras were clouded out shortly after midnight. Still we managed to record good numbers of meteors and we prepared these composites from each camera. Each image includes about 50 meteors on average captured only duration of the peak night.
